The Student Case Management Team handles a wide variety of student casework. This central department is responsible for student appeals, complaints, misconduct, and fitness practice cases. The team also manages the University’s involvement in matters that go to the Independent Court of Higher Education (OIA).

Working in this team provides the ability to develop investigative and problem-solving skills in a very exciting area that encompasses all aspects of student life from across the university. The team is also responsible for identifying potential improvements to the student experience at Manchester Met.

The Student Case Management Officer role involves the management and investigation of academic appeals, student complaints, and misconduct casework at the institutional level, ensuring high-quality professional services for students and staff.

This post provides an excellent opportunity for an individual with the ability to develop their investigative and problem-solving skills. You will work closely with colleagues on the Student Case Management team to review and develop effective procedures, processes, and systems.

We are looking for an individual who can demonstrate a commitment to improving the student experience at the University and who has excellent attention to detail and communication skills. They should have experience applying complex regulations in specific situations and; Able to manage heavy caseloads in compliance with recognized case-handling standards. They should have an excellent standard of written English and the ability to quickly write decisions that are reasoned, evidence-based, and can withstand scrutiny by external bodies, including independent higher education judges.

In recognition of the staff’s contribution to the success of the University during the 2021/2022 academic year, an additional discretionary payment of 2% per annum will be added to your salary until 31/07/23 to ensure the continuity of existing and incoming staff. can be made This additional 2% will be paid in equal monthly installments, on top of your salary every month till 31/07/23.
