The Social Media Representative will work as part of a dedicated social media team and will be responsible for handling guest communications received both publicly and privately through the aforementioned social channels. These communications will vary on different topics. including inquiries from guests regarding questions about our products or bookings, positive engagement with guests, and negative feedback and complaints.
About the character
The Social Media Representative is a key support role in our busy Contact Center Operations (CCO) that sits within our Guest Support Department. You will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service across various social media platforms including Facebook, and Twitter, and managing our Feefo Star Ratings to enhance P&O Cruises and Cunard’s online reputation.
You will support and communicate with guests to ensure that any questions and/or concerns are dealt with in a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional manner while aligning with brand language expectations. Answers should be provided in line with business service levels to provide a smooth, easy guest experience and eliminate persistent chasers and escalations that lead to negative guest feelings.
All activity is managed through social media software systems rather than directly on the brand’s social pages, however, responses appear uncensored in public areas of the brand so accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
You will need to be a highly motivated and creative individual with a passion to connect with current and future guests by identifying new ways to engage and bringing a sense of fun and excitement to our brand’s social responsibility.
You will need to understand how good service through social drives increases guest engagement and builds our reputation to make a positive impact in our online community while creating a positive, authentic voice for our brands. Proven experience in a previous social media role is essential.

If the role requires you to travel and/or work on a Carnival UK ship, the successful candidate will need to be fully vaccinated (WHO or MHRA-approved two-dose COVID-19 vaccination course or with single-dose Janssen COVID-19 vaccine) including any relevant booster vaccinations. This is to maintain a safe environment on board and reduce the risk of outbreaks, to protect our crew and our guests.
