Registration Officer Ceremonies HCC601021 Jobs: This is a busy, public-facing role that offers great personal satisfaction in helping our customers record important life events. You will be fully trained to register and deliver marriage, civil partnership, citizenship, and other non-statutory ceremonies. You will work in register offices and licensed locations across our beautiful county.
As part of an events team working throughout the year, and particularly at peak times, you may be required to work some hours and sometimes full days during the week and mainly at weekends. Is. So your flexibility and availability are key. You will have a confident, tactful, and compassionate demeanor and will be able to conduct yourself professionally (both in attitude and appearance). Your ability to communicate is a key requirement of this role as public speaking is essential. Your handwriting should be clear and legible as you will be working within a legal framework, and you should have excellent attention to detail.
Your working hours will vary depending on the operational requirements of the Service and your availability. While work is listed up to six weeks in advance, it can be changed at short notice.
Your main work area will be based around one of our bases across the county, however, our roles are not limited to these areas, and you will need to work flexibly in other areas. Due to the nature of the role, you will need to travel between licensed locations within a specific time frame so you must be able to drive and have access to your vehicle.
Permanent and temporary (9 months) annual hourly contracts are available. Please indicate your preference for annual hours availability and contract type on your application.
