QUT Excellence Scholarships in Australia 2023: The QUT Excellence Scholarship is our most prestigious award for high achievers. Every year, we award over 130 scholarships totaling over $3.5 million. In addition to financial assistance, the program assists you in making the most of your QUT experience by providing extra development opportunities that help you build your leadership skills and professional networks.
Australia, Bachelor’s Degree QUT Excellence Scholarships 2023 are available to study at Queensland University of Technology at the undergraduate level.
The following subjects are available for study through this scholarship program.
Benefits of the All Subjects Scholarship:
Scholarships are available, including:
- Scholarships worth $30,000 each are available for study in any discipline.
- Scholarships of $30,000 each are available for courses in the faculties of science and engineering only.
- For up to three years ($10,000 per year), these scholarships will be paid as a study stipend of up to $5,000 after the HECS-HELP census date of each semester.
- Scholarships of $10,000 each are available for study in any discipline.
- This scholarship will be paid as a study stipend of $2,500 per semester following the HECS-HELP census date for the first four semesters of your course ($5,000 per year).

As part of QUT’s commitment to Women in STEM, at least 50% of QUT Excellence Scholarships in STEM will be awarded to qualified female students.
Successful recipients from our Faculty of Science and Faculty of Engineering who achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 6 or higher in their first semester will be invited to apply for a place in the Dean’s Scholars Program in Science and Engineering beginning in Semester 2, 2023.
Students from Australia and New Zealand are eligible.
Criteria for Eligibility:
You must be one of the following:
a citizen of Australia or New Zealand
a permanent resident a permanent humanitarian visa holder an international student who has completed high school (or the International Baccalaureate) in Australia or an Australian curriculum abroad
You should also:
be graduating in 2022 or have graduated in 2021 be starting university for the first time in 2023 have a minimum unadjusted ATAR of 98 or equivalent have listed QUT as your first preference on your QTAC application
The QUT Excellence Scholarship does not require you to submit a scholarship application (Academic). All eligible students who submit a QTAC application with a QUT course as their first preference by the QTAC key dates will be considered.

What comes next?
We will begin making scholarship offers in January 2023.
Due to the large number of applications received, we will only notify students who have been offered a scholarship. We will not consider appeals for rejected applications.
To keep your scholarship, you must do the following:
maintain an overall grade point average (GPA) of 5.00 or higher each semester while enrolled full-time
You may take a leave of absence for up to two years, but only after completing one semester of study. If you defer your course, you will not receive scholarship payments during this time. However, you may defer your QUT Excellence Scholarship (Academic) if you have not completed university study in the meantime.
You are unable to:
