Ph.D. Scholarships London UK At Imperial College 2023-24: If you are a high-achieving undergraduate or Master’s student with a strong desire to pursue a Ph.D. program at a world-class research institution, a President’s Ph.D. The scholarship could provide you with an exceptional opportunity to receive full tuition fees and a generous stipend for a 3.5-year Ph.D. position at Imperial College London.

The President’s Ph.D. Scholarships enable students to pursue a research project of their choice with the assistance of an excellent supervisor, as well as to participate in cohort-building activities with other President’s Ph.D. Scholars.

Candidates for the President’s Ph.D. Scholarships in 2023-24 will also be considered for the Sir Michael Uren Engineering Scholarship and the Sir Michael Uren Medicine Scholarship, which support interdisciplinary research in medicine and engineering, respectively. These scholarships offer the same benefits as the President’s Ph.D. Scholarships.

Ph.D. Scholarships at Imperial College London UK 2023-24 are available to pursue Ph.D. level programs at Imperial College London.

Each of the 50 available scholarships provides the following assistance during the 3.5 years of study:

Tuition fees are fully funded.
A stipend of £22,900 (2023-24 rate) per year to help with living expenses.
A £2,000 annual consumables fund for the first three years of study

Eligible Nationalities:

The eligibility requirements for this competitive scheme are higher than usual (see eligibility criteria below), attracting candidates with excellent academic performance and promising research potential. We welcome applications from talented candidates from Imperial College London, the United Kingdom, and around the world. There are no nationality restrictions.

The scholarship allows for both full-time and part-time study.

Academic eligibility requirements

Candidates must have received, or be on their way to receiving, a first-class or equivalent in an undergraduate or integrated master’s degree; and/or Candidates with a standalone Master’s qualification must have achieved a distinction, or be able to provide evidence of high performance that will lead to a distinction.

Candidates with degrees from foreign institutions should check with the Admissions team to see if their scores/grades meet the scholarship entry criteria.

Other considerations

Applications are welcome from talented candidates from Imperial College London, the United Kingdom, and around the world. There are no nationality restrictions, though some departments may be unable to support international candidates.
The scheme is only available to new Ph.D. applicants. Current Imperial Ph.D. students are not eligible to apply for a President’s Ph.D. Scholarship.

The President’s Ph.D. Scholarships offer a generous financial package as well as individualized support to Ph.D. students. The President’s Ph.D. The scholarship scheme accepts applications three times per academic year (see ‘Timing’). You must have made contact with a supervisor in an academic department at Imperial College London who has agreed to supervise your research project before applying. How to Apply:

There is no formal scholarship application form. You should apply for admission to Imperial through our online admissions system, and your department will recommend you for the scholarship based on academic merit and potential.

Scholarship-specific admissions instructions are provided below; you must also meet any additional application requirements specified by your department of choice.
